The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug.Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not block any of the ventilation openings.The battery indicator will illuminate on the display when there are no batteries or when the batteries are low. When replacing the battery, do not disconnect the AC power adapter otherwise the current time, alarm, and station presets will be erased. Alkaline batteries are recommended for the longest backup time. The batteries are used to backup the clock and alarm times when the AC adaptor is disconnected or there is a power failure. Replace the battery door back on the compartment. ![]() Insert two (2) “AAA” batteries following the correct polarity indicated in the battery compartment.Open the battery door by pushing in on the tabs, then removing the door. ![]() These batteries keep the clock operating in the event of a power interruption. To keep accurate time, this unit uses (2) “AAA” batteries (sold separately) for clock backup.
